Mare Monitor App 

Due the high cost of foaling devices and apps, we have developed an mobile phone app the will call a designated phone number when the mare lies down.

This app is to be used in conjunction with close physical monitoring of the mare, and not a replacement for physically checking the mare at regular intervals. 

​

Please test the app on the phone before you attach it to the mares halter.

Do the following test;

Test that the phone stays on and the app does not disappear from the screen;

Test how long the battery lasts while the app is running;

Test that when the phone is tilted as if a mares was laying down that the phone number is actually called;

Test that the phone receives the call from the mares phone.
